Word for Word is expanding its unique approach of bringing literature to the stage with Word for WordPLAY, a new program for children and their families. We hope to offer a space where the power of play, self-expression, and imagination takes center stage—inviting families to connect, laugh, and explore together through the magic of literature and theater. Our first event is a fun-filled day with lots of literature and theater-themed activities for children, including pictionary, juggling, family freeze dance, charades, and much more.

THE KENNINGS, 30TH ANNIVERSARY HOME SEASON

RMK celebrates its 30th anniversary with The Kennings, an all-original program showcasing powerful, genre-bending theatrical dance. This two-act program features a world premiere by Robert Moses, delving into his signature exploration of sensuality, war, race, human rights, and individual freedoms. Complementing the premiere, RMK also presents three original works choreographed by three guest artists.

Embark on a fantastic flamenco voyage into the unknown. This showing is a work in progress featuring world renowned flamenco artists: Marina Elana, Juan José Amador, Eugenio Iglesias, Carlos Menchaca, Teresa Hernández, Reyes Martín, and living legend El Torombo. Five women embark on a pilgrimage to Mecca. Noor, an Afghan American immigrant, must fulfill her sister’s last wish. Her daughter, Maryam, a tech CEO, seeks to evade her legal woes, while Noor’s nieces—estranged sisters Sosan and Nadia—must complete the pilgrimage to claim their inheritance. Meanwhile, Fatima, a Black Muslim convert and Nadia’s best friend, hopes to find her biological mother. Will this pilgrimage bring the five women closer, or will secrets, rivalries, and old wounds tear them apart?
